Honor your jiu-jitsu roots with the Ronin Brand Legacy Jiu Jitsu Gi. Designed as a tribute to two of the founding father of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu – Helio Gracie and Mitsuyo Maeda – this gi is the perfect addition to your kimono collection.
The Ronin Brand Legacy Jiu Jitsu Gi features a lightweight 450 GSM Pearl Weave jacket, with the Ronin Brand logo wrapped in a shuriken (traditional Japanese throwing weapon) and embroidered on the upper arm of both sleeves. Under the logo of one sleeve is embroidered the year 1878 (the birth year of Mitsuyo Maeda, “Conde Koma”), while the other sleeve has the year 1913 (the birth year of Helio Gracie). The inside of the jacket features a digitally printed illustration by Joey Sylvester, detailing the globe and iconic images from both Brazil and Japan. The 10 oz twill cotton pants are the same used in our Samurai line, and durable enough to withhold rigorous training. They have reinforced stitching on the knee padding and in the crotch area, and come with a high quality stretchy rope drawstring. It also has the Kanji figures for “Legacy” embroidered on the bottom of the leg.
*Preshrunk, but expect 1-1.5” inches of additional shrinkage over time.

Ronin Imperial Double Weave BJJ Gi
For those practitioners looking for a heavier, more durable gi that will withstand some serious training, Ronin Brand introduces the Imperial Double Weave Gi – the heaviest true Double Weave Jiu-Jitsu kimono that Japan has produced.
The Ronin Brand Imperial Double Weave Gi features a 890 GSM Double Weave jacket, made from a single piece of fabric for extra strength and durability (so it does not have the setsugi seam down the middle that is typical of most Judo gis). The interior is lined with an ultra soft brushed material, for added comfort, and all major stress areas are heavily reinforced. The pants are made from 11 oz cotton, with 6 belt loops and a durable stretchy rope drawstring. The Double Weave gi is preshrunk; however, it will shrink an additional 1-1.5” if washed in hot water and tumble dried on high heat. Design elements include: "Ronin Brand" and Kanji embroidered along the lapel and up the right shoulder, Ronin crossed feather logo on the left arm and left skirt of the jacket, and smaller logo design on the back just under the collar.
Modeling in the Ronin Imperial Double Weave Gi is Daisuke Yamaji, the first Japanese to receive a Black Belt from Renzo Gracie.
