For those practitioners looking for a heavier, more durable gi that will withstand some serious training, Ronin Brand introduces the Imperial Double Weave Gi – the heaviest true Double Weave Jiu-Jitsu kimono that Japan has produced.
The Ronin Brand Imperial Double Weave Gi features a 890 GSM Double Weave jacket, made from a single piece of fabric for extra strength and durability (so it does not have the setsugi seam down the middle that is typical of most Judo gis). The interior is lined with an ultra soft brushed material, for added comfort, and all major stress areas are heavily reinforced. The pants are made from 11 oz cotton, with 6 belt loops and a durable stretchy rope drawstring. The Double Weave gi is preshrunk; however, it will shrink an additional 1-1.5” if washed in hot water and tumble dried on high heat. Design elements include: "Ronin Brand" and Kanji embroidered along the lapel and up the right shoulder, Ronin crossed feather logo on the left arm and left skirt of the jacket, and smaller logo design on the back just under the collar.
Modeling in the Ronin Imperial Double Weave Gi is Daisuke Yamaji, the first Japanese to receive a Black Belt from Renzo Gracie.
