Ronin Samurai Jiu Jitsu GiK801-0002
The Ronin Samurai Jiu Jitsu Gi embodies the spirit of the Ronin. A term used in feudal Japan, a "Ronin" is a Samurai with no lord or master - either due to the death or loss in battle of his master, or after losing favor or privilege. The Ronin always wore two swords, and typically had expertise with a multitude of other weapons.
The Ronin Samurai Jiu Jitsu Gi features a lightweight 420 GSM Pearl Weave jacket, ideal for competition yet still durable for daily training. "Ronin" is fully embroidered along the lapel and across the back skirt of the jacket in "blood script" font. Also on the back skirt is Japanese Kanji, which translates to "Samurai Jiu-Jitsu". The newly designed Ronin Brand logo is embroidered on the upper sleeves and shin area of the left pant leg. It details a Japanese style moon crest combined with the traditional Ronin feather logo, together with the more Samurai style house of Chrysanthemum, which we feel make for a much bolder and warrior-like emblem. The inside of the jacket features a vintage-style line art print of a Samurai warrior, designed exclusively for Ronin by renowned BJJ artist Seymour Yang (aka Meerkatsu). Also included with the gi is a woven Samurai head patch, which comes loose in the bag, allowing you the option to attach it.
